LOVE YOUR LIBRARY - Judth Davis, Director

March winds, April showers, May flowers, June brides, and July VBS. School will be over and summer will be here before we can turn around. Life goes faster as we age, I've heard, and as I am witnessing. I suppose that means we had better make the most of each month. What are you doing with your time?

The library hopes that you spend some of your time reading - reading provides adventures. Spend some of your time studying - it is never too late to learn more. Spend some of your time meditating - it slows us down and helps us realize what this life is all about. Spend some of your time in prayer - then we really become focused.

Sooooo.....if your life is flying by, have fun while making the best use of your time. There are over 6,000 items in your Church Library: adventurous, studious, meditative, prayerful media - you name it, we have it! COME, LOVE YOUR LIBRARY.

Waiting for Morning by Karen Kingsbury

This is the first book in the "Forever Faithful Series." It is about a wonderful Christian family, but we know that Christians often have burdens to bare.

As Hannah Ryan waits for her husband and two teenage daughters to return home from a camping trip, she realizes she has everything going for her until two police officers arrive at her door. Because of the terrible news she received, Hannah begins to work hard in the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) organization. The entire book centers around her work there and how obsessed she gets with it. One of Hannah's daughters, Jenny, survived the accident but because of her work, Hannah neglected Jenny and problems were beginning between this mother and daughter. All Hannah wanted was for the drunk driver who killed her husband and daughter, Alicia, to be convicted of murder.

Hannah and the family were devoted Christians and their church activities were a big part of their lives. Hannah blamed God for the tragedy in her life. Many of her friends tried to make her understand that "bad things happen to good people," but she continued to turn against God and she stopped attending church. Hannah made some wrong choices as she dealt with her problems and many of us have done the same.

I am now ready to read the #2 of this series. It is a "Moment of Weakness," then there is a third book called "Halfway to Forever."

Come to your library and check out these books or any of our many good books.
