Minister of Music - Rev. K. Seth Hix

Rev. K. Seth Hix came to North Riverside in August of 2003 after completing his Bachelor (2000) and Master (2002) of church music degrees at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Rev. Hix was born and raised in Ozark, Alabama, where his father served as minister of music for over 29 years until his retirement in 2007.

Before coming to NRBC Rev. Hix served numerous churches in a variety of capacities. He held a college music internship at Mountain Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham from 1998-2000. In the summer of 2000 he was the Minister of Music & Youth at First Baptist Church of Abbeville, Alabama, and served Hillview Baptist Church in Birmingham as Minister of Music from 2001-2002 & Minster of Youth during the Summer 2001. He has also served in other capacities at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.

Seth was married to his wife, Genelle, in June of 2004. In addition to his love for music and worship, he enjoys playing/watching just about any sport, but especially playing church softball and following Atlanta Braves baseball.
