Welcome to the North Riverside Baptist Church website.
North Riverside continues in a rich heritage of being free and faithful Baptists as we seek to be a beacon for those who are lost and a gathering place for God's people to congregate, learn, love and pass on what is truly the only hope for mankind...God's plan of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

North Riverside Baptist Church homebound folks will start receiving the weekly Table Talk & Bulletin at their request. There will be one mailing per week (an updated yellow sheet will be added once a month). If you are interested in being added to this mailing, please notify the church office at 595-7654.
A great way to communicate!! This is not a part of the Prayer Ministry Team. This is a church wide email list for all to use for prayer requests, announcements, prayer updates, etc. In 2007 we had many prayer requests, praises, concerns, deaths, births, exciting and sad news!! So far we have 112 email addresses.
If you're not on this tree, I hope you'll consider joining us! Please contact the church office if you do not want to be on the NRBC Email Tree, if you know of someone who would like to be added, and/or you know of email address changes. Also, please give your comments and/or suggestions. Thank you so much for your help in this matter.
There are times that I procrastinate and the outcome is not very good and then there are other times which it almost seems as if they were ordained. Today is one of those "other times".
Yesterday, April 20th was a mixed feeling type of day. Bitter sweet as we had to say goodbye to Josh, Becky and Ainsley as they are leaving for new areas of service in KY. It is never easy to watch those whom you have worked with leave even as you know that God's will is being followed. Josh has been an important member of this staff for three years, leading in education, worship, Vacation Bible Schools and tasked with the preaching ministry for many months before I arrived. Indeed, I feel we can say that he has filled every task asked of him in a manner pleasing to God and used by Him for the growth of our wonderful fellowship.
As Minister of Children and After School Program Director, Becky has had a duel role even as she finished her seminary work. Trying to fill several pair of shoes at the same time is difficult at best, but Becky was able to stretch herself to fill those shoes in a beautiful way. And not only filling the shoes here and at school, but also being a loving, caring mother to Ainsley. I was notified this morning that she has been called as Minister of Children at Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville, KY and this is an answer to many, many prayers.
So to Josh, Becky and Ainsley know that our prayers go with you as you leave and also know that you will forever be a part of this fellowship in which you shared your love, concern and leadership. God's Speed as you go!
I started off on this April 21st with the "bitter sweet" and I want to finish with the all "sweet." I hope that you were present last evening as our Youth and College Group presented "I Know You're There!". The musical drama spoke to our hearts and souls and caused us to realize anew that no matter where we might be, God is with us. This night also told us clearly that our fellowship is filled with persons of different talents as this program was written, produced, directed and staged by many who gave of their time so we could worship together. Thank you for an evening that allowed us to feel God's Spirit alive in our midst.
By the time you receive this newsletter I pray that "The Plan" will be approved and our Pastor Search Team chosen as we look forward to a wonderful and great future here at NRBC. I am excited about our future because I know God's Spirit is alive and well, leading us in ways that will bring glory to His Name and new direction for our fellowship.
Let's make every effort to be present weekly for all the opportunities presented for growth and nurture.
Shalom,
Ron
